What the Crap
I've been told that it is a right of passage to be pooped and peed on by your little one. Well, it has officially happened and little Addi didn't hold anything back...
Last Friday while we were in Alabama, we went to Trey's baseball game in Southside, AL. This wasn't just any baseball game - it was the first round of the state playoffs and they were up against the number one team in the state. Needless to say, the stands were packed with fans.
Mom and I set up our folding chairs for a front row view. Just as the game was getting started, Addison let me know that she was hungry and started feeding her a bottle that I had pumped earlier. It wasn't a minute later, that Baby Girl let her rip with sound effects that would make a grown man blush. Instantly, I felt something warm and wet in my lap. I lifted Addison up a bit and to my horror there was runny, yellow poop E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E. As I looked down in horror, the little stinker (literally) let her rip again! Now there was poop running down into my chair and dripping onto the pavement below. Until that night, Addison had never had a diaper that was this bad. Didn't she pick a fine time to show me what she was capable of?
Let me remind you, we were at the ballpark - for a double hitter no less. It took a second for mommy mode to kick in and begin taking action because I was so overcome with the shock of the situation. When I stood up, everyone in the stands took notice and the look of disgust on their faces said it all. I even think several people threw up in their mouth a little. I rushed back to the car and stripped Addison down and used every wipe I had to clean her up.
Thank goodness I had an extra change of clothes for Addi. I however was not so lucky. My sister Mallory went with me to the bathroom where I proceeded to strip down in the bathroom stall. I stood there half naked while Mallory tried to rinse the yellow poop out of my favorite jeans and new shirt. She did the best she could with what she had but my jeans were still yellow and smelled like rotten eggs. When I came out of the stall, several high school girls were waiting to use the bathroom. They were so grossed out! I told them the memory of this moment should serve as good birth control.
I had to wash my jeans and shirt twice to get all the poop out, but thankfully it came out. However, the chair I was sitting in was thrown in the ball park dumpster. From now on, there will also be an extra change of clothes for momma!

And We're Back
Last Wednesday, Addison and I set off on a great adventure - her first plane ride! I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with how well that she did...Addi didn't cry at all! Not even so much as a whimper during the flights. I was relieved. From now on, flying will be our preferred mode of transportation. It sure beats a 10 hour road trip back to Bama:)
Since moving to NC, I have missed being present for Trey's major life events so I was thrilled to see him off to the prom.
Once we arrived in Alabama, we had a whirlwind schedule to keep. Unfortunately, I habitually forgot my camera everywhere we went so I don't have many pictures to share. The one thing that was well documented was little bro Trey's senior prom.

Two Months
Last week, Addison went to the pediatrician for the second time in two weeks. She has been having some tummy trouble and hopefully we are getting it straightened out. Unfortunately, she has reflux but the good news is she is growing like a weed! On Thursday, she weighed 11 lbs 4 ozs and was 24 inches long. At the doctor's office the week before, she weighed 10 lbs 6 ozs - she gained almost a whole pound in only a week! What a little piggy! Brad and I think she probably weighs 12 lbs now:)

Happy Birthday!
This past weekend, we were busy celebrating this sweet guy's birthday. Brad's only birthday wish was to spend the weekend being lazy with Addison and me and that is just what we did.
On Saturday night, Brad and I had our first post-baby date! Laura was nice enough to watch Baby Girl while we dined at Milner's - it was delicious! Brad and I didn't know what to do with ourselves. We talked about Addison most of the night:)

Advice Needed
Hi, its me Addi!
I have a problem. I am an extra wiggly little girl. Mommy calls me her little wiggle worm. I am so wiggly that I have rubbed my hair off all the way around my sweet head. It is as smooth as my little baby butt. All that is left of my hair is a dark thick patch in the back. Mommy and Daddy laugh and say I look like Frank from Everybody Loves Raymond. But, I don't think it is too funny. I'll just laugh at them when they loose their hair one day and see how they like it.
So, what's a girl to do without her lovely locks? I'm thinking an XXXXXS toupee might be just the thing to remedy this most unfortunate situation. Does anyone know where I might find one?
xoxo,
Addison
P.S.
Mommy had a moment of weakness and let me sleep on her chest. It was a great day! - Addi

Commuting
Last week, I officially started back to work - it was a sad day. Fortunately, I don't have far to commute for now. It is less than 7 seconds from my bedroom door to my office in the guest bedroom so Addison just comes to work with me:) This is a good thing because I am just not ready to leave Addison for more than an hour or two. Taking her to the church nursery yesterday was hard enough! After seeing this video, I may never leave Addison ever again! I will warn you - it is hard to watch.

He is Risen!
We have enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend here in NC. One of the highlights was Duke beating West Virginia to advance to the NCAA Championship game! If you didn't know, Brad is a huge fan and he is already teaching Addison how to be a Cameron Crazy:)
This was actually my first holiday away from family - ever. I was a bit sad that the three of us would be in NC by ourselves without either of our families to share the weekend with. But, we made the best of it and we tried to make our little family's first holiday together special.
I cooked an Easter dinner for us complete with a ham and all the trimmings. The best part was the pecan pie if I do say so myself:)
Addison looked so precious in her Easter dress! She had a little bonnet to wear too, but she wasn't a fan and screamed bloody murder - we opted to go bonnetless.
We somehow managed to get a family picture - after about 10 tries!
The Easter Bunny also made a visit to our house! I had planned to order Addison this Easter basket, but they were all sold out! So I got creative and painted Addi an "Easter bucket" instead.
