The Countdown

We'll folks Addison and I made it to Alabama last week and we are officially in countdown mode to Mallory's wedding this Saturday.

Since the reception is in my parents' back yard, the house has been a beehive of activity. In fact, the tent is already up.

But, it hasn't been all work and no play. We have managed to squeeze in some fun playtime too...

Tew for Three

Today is our three year anniversary. Three years. Wow, such a short amount of time really. This past year has been so rich a full of emotions and new beginnings. I can't imagine life getting any better. I love you Brad

Happy Half Birthday!

For those of you keeping track out there, Baby Girl turned six months old yesterday! i can't believe our sweet baby has grown so much! People have told me, your child's life will pass by in a blink of eye and it is so true.

Brad and I are trying to soak up and cherish every second of these early years...even when she screams bloody murder for a hour every night before she finally falls asleep:)

Addison continues to be a V.E.R.Y. busy little girl. I already have to watch her like a hawk and she is not even crawling yet! Although, that day is on the horizon and cannot be more than a couple weeks away. She is rocking and scooting all over the floor. Before I know it, I will look down and she has things like the computer cord in her mouth (I know, I know, I can hear your audible gasp of disgust through the computer. I am a terrible mother for allowing such a thing to happen. We are taking measures to assure this doesn't happen again:)

Her sixth month check-up is not until the end of the month so I don't have any stats to report yet. I can tell you that she is a chunky little thing is wearing mostly 12 month clothes because she is so tall.
Addison loves to squeal in these high pitched tones that make even the neighborhood dogs grimace. She also likes to wave "hi" and "bye" and occasionally says "Hey" and moos like a cow.

She sleeps well at night its just getting to sleep that is the problem. She doesn't want to miss a minute of the action! Addison's personality is so big and she is such a happy baby. The only time she cries during the day is before bedtime. Her favorite activity is bath time and loves to have the water poured over her. She also enjoys her evening stroll around the block after her supper (even though momma and daddy are about smother in the 90+ degree heat).
Her favorite toys right now are wooden blocks and my first baby doll, Huggums. She thoroughly enjoys meal time and her favorite food is prunes...and sweet potatoes...and carrots...and pears...well any thing we put in her mouth really - except for peas. Look closely and you can see her two little chompers in the front and she is not scared to use them. Lets just say that Addison is not allowed to nurse any more and that's all I will say about that.
We love you Baby Girl and we can't wait to see what you do next!

Bathing Beauty

Last week, Addison joined me in Destin for a conference I had to attend. Thankfully, Mrs. Tew was able to make the trip with us to keep an eye on Baby Girl while I worked. Thanks Tula! We couldn't have done it without you!

While we were there, Addison and I took a dip in the pool. She loved it more this time than the last! It was so hysterical to watch her hold her head high while she kicked her legs as hard as she could:) You would think she actually knew how to swim.

At the end of the week, Brad met us back in Mobile to finish up the weekend. A great time was had by all and we are looking forward to our next trip South...on Tuesday. I'm just leaving our suitcases packed.
