Easter Table

Happy Thursday ya'll! It has been a rainy, dreary, cold week at our house. Rain, rain go away we are ready to go outside and play! We have ventured out a few times, but my washing machine has been extra busy washing Baby Girl's muddy clothes.
While Addi Girl was napping yesterday, I decided to quench my spring fever by dusting off my Easter decorations. Since we have been spending so much time inside, I brought the outside in by trimming the blooming Dogwood trees in our front yard. My neighbors probably thought I was a moron watching me jumping around the yard trying to reach the Dogwood branches with my pointy shrub trimmers.

When we moved back to Alabama a few months ago, I thought it was the perfect time to finally unpack all of my unused wedding china. So many people say that they never use their fine china. I just love dishes so much I think we will eat everyday ordinary meals on our China:) Its too pretty not to use!

I put few of our wedding pew markers to good use. We have several dozen of these things so if I ever have a dinner table for say 50 I'll be set - haha!

Aunt Mal and Uncle Steven are on their way as we speak to spend the weekend with us and we are SO. EXCITED! They would probably like to have fresh sheets on their bed before they arrive so I better get busy.

New @ Party of Tew Designs

When I posted pictures of my burlap door hangers a few weeks ago, I had no idea that the response would be so positive! So now there are a few new designs in the Party of Tew Etsy shop.

I am also working on new summer designs too that will be available in a few weeks. All of the door hangers pictured in this post are made to order and can be customized with the colors of your choice.

To those who have purchased Easter door hangers - thank you so much for your support! Its not too late to place your order for rabbit, Easter egg and cross door hangers. Your item will ship 2 days or less after your order is placed.

Big Daddy & Me

Since Brad has been working in North Carolina during the week, Addi and I have been spending a lot of time at Big Daddy and Nana's (my parents) house.
This means that Addi Girl gets to do fun things like play in the woods, chase the puppies and check the cows while she's on the farm.

We need to get this girl some cowgirl boots!

The puppies have really grown recently! They are very fat and are starting to sit up and walk around. If you interested in adopting a puppy, please let me know!

Surprisingly Addison still isn't too crazy about the puppies. She just wants to pat, pat the Little Momma dog.

Fairhope

Last weekend Brad, Addi and I hit the road for Mobile to see "The Tew Crew" and to go to the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival. While at Pops and Tula's house, Addison successfully tormented the cat and broke only one accessory off Tula's coffee table. It was H-O-T on Saturday for the festival. Did we completely bypass spring and leap into the dogdays of summer? Despite the heat and the crowds of people, Tula, Lauren and I saw some pretty things.
And we saw some...well...interesting things too. All I can say is these are some brave ladies.
Addi and Frances also joined us for the day and were content just to ride around in their strollers looking for puppy dogs.
We left Fairhope exhausted and empty handed. Can you believe we didn't buy a thing? It may be a record.

This Weekend and Etsy

Hi Folks! It was a very busy weekend here at Party of Tew. Our house has been taken over by rabbits...of the burlap nature:) In order to give you more payment options, I opened an Etsy store. It is currently stocked with Rabbit, Easter Egg and Cross designs. I hope to add more designs by the end of the week. To visit Party of Tew Designs, click here.

When we weren't painting rabbits, we were outside enjoying the beautiful spring weather! I sure hope the warmer temps are here to stay, but I'm not packing up our sweaters just yet.

On Saturday, we ventured out to Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Apparently everyone else in a 30 mile radius had the same idea because the place was packed!

Addison kept busy by picking up leaves and sticks...and I think she only swallowed one rock.

We loved having Brad home for the weekend and hopefully he will transition back to his Alabama office within the next 10 days...fingers crossed say a prayer. He has been commuting weekly to North Carolina now for three months. We are grateful for his job, but I am ready for him to be home for more than three days at a time:)

On Sunday, we cheered Daddy on at his rec league flag football game. Unfortunately Brad's team didn't bring home a "W" but Addi Girl sure did like gathering up everyone's keys on the sideline.

Puppies Anyone?

Addi and I have been at my parents house the last few days while Brad is in NC working. Addison was so excited to see these teeny, tiny puppies when we arrived.

This stray, and very pregnant dog, showed up on my parents' doorstep a few weeks ago and wouldn't leave - even though my parents refused to feed her or give her attention in fear that she may never go home. When she had her puppies earlier this week, you can see where she ended up...in the garage with a cozy bed. Nana and Big Daddy are just big softies and couldn't ignore this little mama dog any longer:)

The momma seems to be some kind of Beagel mix and we have no idea what kind of dog the father is. The puppies are four days old now and need good homes. If you are interested in learning more about adopting these dogs please let me know!

Since we have been in Arab, it has been so warm and Addison has loved playing outside. Nana showed her how to blow dandelions and she got the hang of it pretty quickly...after she ate a few of them first:)

Up With the Chickens

Our day started at 5:15 a.m. this morning...really early. We recently took Addison's bottle away and her sleep schedule is totally thrown off. I am anxious to return to our 8 a.m. wake-up call.

But we made the most of it and headed to Big Daddy's "chicken ranch" to see the new baby chickadees. They are four days old and beginning to get their white feathers.

Its really hot and dark inside the houses so the baby chicks can stay nice and toasty. And of course, its really stinky. So stinky that we had to immediately return home, wash our clothes and take a bath.

But Addi Girl didn't seem to mind. She was more preplexed with the many thousands and thousands of baby chicks chirping all around her.

She wanted so badly to scoop them up, but they would scurry away when her squeaky shoes got close.

Addison may turn out to be a farm girl after all:)
